Monthly GOTV Kenya Packages Subscription Charges

There are three packages offered by GOTV. Below we are going to break down the packages, the payments as well as the GO TV Channels available in each package. You can easily pay for your GOTV subscription via mpesa. You just need the GOTV Mpesa paybill number and your GOTV account number. Here’s how to make the payment via M-pesa.

1. How to pay gotv subscription via mpesa paybill number

  1. Go to Mpesa menu and choose ‘Pay Bill’
  2. Key in the GOTV Paybill number which is 423655
  3. Key in your IUC number; this you can get it from the bottom of your decoder on a red sticker.
  4. Key in the correct amount for the package you wish to pay for. You can find the different packages available to you here and the GO TV Channels they offer.
  5. Key in your M-Pesa PIN
  6. Check again to ensure that you have input the correct information
  7. Wait for a confirmation message

4. How to pay gotv subscription via Mpesa (Bonga PIN)

  1. Select the option: Mpesa (with Bonga PIN)
  2. Enter your mobile number
  3. Enter an amount greater than KSH10
  4. On the “LIPA NA MPESA” screen enter your mobile number in the following format i.e. 2547200000
  5. Tick the box to acknowledge ‘I agree with the terms and conditions’
  6. Click on ‘Lipa na Mpesa’
  7. To complete this transaction, enter your PIN on your handset. If you don’t have a PIN, press 0 and follow the instructions.
  8. Once your payment is successful you will be presented with the ‘RESULT: Successful’ and will be redirected back to Eazy Self ServiceNOTE: Don’t have a BongaPIN?
    1. Dial *126# and reply with 5 or dial *126*5#
    2. Select the “Change current PIN” option
    3. Enter current Bonga PIN
    4. Enter the last direct top-up amount
    5. Enter new PIN
    6. Confirm new PIN
    7. Click OK to confirm

5. How to pay gotv subscription via CraftSilcon

  1. Select the option: VISA/MasterCard (powered by CraftSilicon) and click on ‘Next’
  2. Enter the following details as displayed on your VISA/MasterCard credit card
    • Your name and surname
    • Card number
    • Expiry date (select the month and year)
    • Card Verification Number (CVC / CVV number as displayed at the back of your card)
    • Amount to pay
  3. Click on ‘Pay Online’
  4. Once your payment is successful you will be presented with the ‘RESULT: Successful’ and will be redirected back to Eazy Self Service

To pay for your GOtv subscription log onto your mobile banking application and follow these easy steps:

  • *522# – USSD
  • Dial *522*#
  • Select “Bill Payments > Pay Bill”
  • Select “GOTV”
  • Enter Customer number in Bill Account No.
  • Enter Amount to pay and submit

b. When paying via KCB App

  • Select “Transact Icon > Pay Bill > Other Billers”
  • Select “GOTV”
  • Enter Customer number in Account No.
  • Enter Amount to pay and submit

c. You can also pay at any KCB Bank Agent.

15. How to pay gotv subscription via  Equity Bank

You can now pay your GOtv bill by simply following the steps below:

A. How to pay using your Equitel line

  • 1.On the Equitel menu select My Money
  • 2.Select Eazzy Pay > Select Paybill
  • 3.Select the Account to pay from
  • 4.Select Business> Select More> Select GOtv
  • 5.Enter your Bill Account Number
  • 6.Enter Amount
  • 7.Press OK to confirm details of the transaction displayed on the screen
  • 8.Enter your PIN and send
  • 9.You will receive a confirmation SMS, upon completion of the transaction

B. How to pay using the Equity Bank’s Eazzy App

  • Press the plus (+) icon at the bottom of the screen
  • Select Eazzy Pay from the pop up menu displayed
  • Select Paybill
  • Enter Paybill number 6800009 or search contact by typing GOtv or on the search bar
  • Enter your GOtv bill number
  • Enter Amount
  • Click on the Pay option

You will receive a confirmation SMS, upon completion of the transaction

C. You can pay at any Equity Bank Branch near you over the counter.

This option is available to all. You will receive a copy of the payment slip. The payment done will be updated via Equity Bank at least hourly.

D. You can also pay at any Equity Agent outlet

•Please ensure that your decoder is on before making payment.

16. How to pay gotv subscription via  CBA

Using Short Code SMS:
1. Dial the CBA mobile banking short code *654#
2. Enter your pin on the screen prompt
3. Enter option 9 for bill payment
4. Enter option 1 for DSTV bill payment or 2 for GOTv bill payment
5. Select the account to pay from
6. Enter the DSTV or GOtv account number being serviced
7. Enter the amount you would wish to pay
8. Enter your PIN to confirm the transaction. You should get an SMS confirming success of your transactionUsing CBA Mobile App:
  • Step 1:Log in using phone number and PIN.
  • Step 2:On the menu, select “transact”
  • Step 3:Select “Pay Bills”
  • Step 4:Select account to debit
  • Step 5:Select DSTV or GOTV
  • Step 6:Enter utility account number & amount
  • Step 7:Enter the one-time-password sent to your phone to authorize

How to Activate GOTV Kenya for the First Time – Gotv Activation

You just bought, installed and connected your GOTV decoder and are now wondering how to Activate it for the very first time. First, ensure that the decoder is switched on and that it has scanned for available channels.

Now get your IUC number from the red sticker under your decoder. We’re going to use this for the activation.

Using you phone, type the following message …Accept*IUC NUMBER *NAME *Phone number *State*GOtvplus# and send it to your country’s short code. Kenyan GOTV short code is 22688.

How to Activate GOTV after Payment

If you have just paid for the monthly subscription and the decoder fails to reactivate automatically, this article will show you how to activate GOTV after payment. There are several ways to solve your problem. Try one or all to see he one that works for you.

  • Activate GOTV via message

Simply send ‘Reset Your GOTV account number to 22688.

Visit Eazy GOTV online, log into your account using your surname and your account number. Go to ‘Clear your error’ dialogue box, select E16 and click on ‘Reset device now’

  • Activate GOTV via Phone

Simply dial *423# and follow the prompts

Request for Assistance from Customer care

If everything else fails, contact GOTV through their facebook page or Twitter Handle and request them to reset your decoder. You’ll need to give them your GOTV account number.

How to Convert Your GOTV Kenya Decoder to a Free To Air Decoder

First, you need to top up your account by making payments on the GoTv Kenya Paybill number: 423655. Ensure that you have topped up the right amount (Ksh 1,800) into your account, or else they will not convert your decoder. Afterwards, you can opt to use their self-care center by dialing *423# and following the voice prompts or you can opt for calling their customer care service on 0711-066-000. If you only pay and fail to use any of the two options above to contact their customer care, your decoder will not be converted.

Before you make the call, make sure that you have your IUC number, as it is essential to associate your account with the decoder. Converting your decoder should be easy unless you find a customer care agent who is not in a good mood to help. Within a short time, your decoder will be showing free to air channels.

How to Clear e16 Error on GOTV Kenya

When your GOTV subscription expires, you get the e16 error. Renewing the subscription while the decoder is turned on normally resets the error. To see how you pay for GOTV via Mpesa, check out this article.

There are times when making a payment fails to automatically reset the e16 error, this is wen you have to bring out the big guns. Here’s how to clear e16 error on GOTV:

  • SMS ‘RESET’ IUC NUMBER’ to 22688. The IUC number is the number on the red sticker while 22688 is GOTV Kenya short code. Ensure that your decoder is swtiched on while you do this so it can receive the signal. The SMS charges for your mobile company apply.
  • Another method of resetting the decoder to clear the e16 error is by dialing *423# and following the prompts.
  • You can also reset by visiting your Eazy GOTV account. Select your country then login using your IUC number and your surname/mobile number of the person who registered and the IUC number. Click on Clear error and select the displayed error and then click on clear.
  • If all these fail, contact support via twitter or Facebook and they’ll help you further and clear your e16 error.
