Hussein Mohammed (full name: Abdikadir Hussein Mohamed) was a senior anchor at Citizen TV of Royal Media Services. He hosted News Night on Tuesday night. And previously together with Janet Mbugua Ndichu hosted  “The Big Question” news bulletin on Monday’s 9 PM Citizen TV news.

He joined Citizen TV in 2008 and since then his professionalism and demeanor have raised his profile both nationally and internationally.

He is a man whose star keeps on shining each day. Sources close to the news anchor reveal that the top-rated journalist is being sought by international media houses.

Several international media houses have approached him in the past, according to one of his close associates. Though he is not in a hurry to move out of Royal Media Services, the promise of hefty pay might tempt him to change his heart.

Citizen TV news anchor Hussein Mohammed has quit the Royal Media Service (RMS)-owned station after 10 years with them  Hussein announced his exit on social media but failed to mention his exact reason for his decision or his next step. His Tweet read, “It has been a wonderful 10 years at Citizen TV. I have enjoyed & relished every moment I shared with my colleagues at RMS. I have decided to take a break after October In Sha Allah to concentrate on other matters. Loved the fans, the critics & everything in between. See you soon.”
Sources revealed that senior editors at RMS were also not aware and were caught by surprise by this news. Hussein hosted Newsnight  Citizen TV on Tuesday night. He is set to retire from Citizen tv at the end of October.

On 29, October while hosting his lat show, Hussein got warm messages from a lot of his previous interviewee’s, some of the big names included opposition leader Raila Odinga, Kirinyaga Governor, Anne Waiguru, Johnson Sakaja, Adan Duale among others, Hussein also got messages from his working colleagues.
