Maryhill Girls High School aims to prepare students to make a positive contribution to the development of the society and to acquire the values of national patriotism, self-respect, self-reliance, cooperation, adaptability, a sense of purpose and self-discipline.

Maryhill Girls High School is classified as a public secondary school and is funded by the government of Kenya and managed through a board of governors and parent-teacher associations (PTA).

The secondary school curriculum in Kenya covers six major areas:

Maryhill Girls High School KCSE Results

Individual candidates can check their KCSE results by SMS or online using an SMS number or website link provided at the release of the exam. Candidates and parents should visit the school for their official results slip. Results for all candidates and the school national, county and local ranking can also be found from the schools’ office.
The ministry of education advises parents teachers and pupils to check the KCSE result slip for any anomaly such as incorrect candidate’s name, school name and code as well as wrong subject grade and report to KNEC within a month after the announcement.

Maryhill Girls High School History

Maryhill Girls’ High School was founded in 1933 when a group of missionary women (Sisters of Our Lady of Africa) answered the call of serving the children who were born of mixed races in East Africa. The children faced discrimination in the African, European and Asian Schools. The school acquired its name from Mary Mother of Jesus and the hill came from where it stands. Soon after independence, the school acquired a new phase where the first group of bright African girls got admitted and Maryhill became one of the most prestigious schools in the country. The school was later on turned into a public school. 1989 is the year when the school presented the first candidates in 8-4-4 system of education.

Maryhill High School has around  65 teachers under the wise leadership of the principal. The school has over 40 support staff members who also play a vital role in the running of the school.  Various Departments  and committees comprising of the teaching staff are also in place to enhance the smooth running of the institution such as the, examinations department, discipline committee, guidance and counseling department among others. Also assisting in the the school management is a team of the Prefects Body who contribute big time in the daily running of the school. The prefect body assists in maintaining order and cleanliness in the school.
